Creative writing should not remain an arcane practice limited to those among us who fancy call themselves writers: it is the surest method to learn a language in a lasting, fun, and memorable way. Writing short shorts is a great introduction to creative writing in the MFL classroom, as a means to develop language mastery, boost subject interest and enhance creativity.


This intro to peer review activity, is a flipped-learning, blended class, which uses Microsoft Sway and a storytelling/role-playing strategy. Students will read a real, A-Level (AQA) sample response. They will try their hand at applying a simplified rubric and attempt to evaluate it fairly, as an examiner would, assigning it a grade. Download on TES by clicking on the image.
